Emu Music

Emu is a collaborative ministry focused on contemporary, Biblical, Christ-centred music in church. Founded in Sydney, Australia, and now operating throughout the world, our aim is to equip churches with fresh new songs of the Word and to train leaders and musicians in what it means to practically run a Biblical music ministry. Our aim is to provide excellent resources - recordings, sheet music and more - to equip your church to sing the truth with passion.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:16-17)

The heart of any ministry must be the gospel itself and our singing is an essential place to get this right. Biblical singing mirrors God's ultimate purpose for the church: that Christ would dwell in the hearts of his people - that they might encourage each other in him and respond to God with genuine thanksgiving for all he has done for us.

When we gather together and sing the Gospel, we encourage Christians to discover what it is to be passionate, being driven by the Word in their response to Jesus - firstly in song, but ultimately in their lives. Emu Music has spent nearly 20 years helping churches and church musicians ensure that the gospel is at the heart of any music ministry. Our prayer is that God would use Christ centred singing to help re-shape a Christian culture that can often be passionless, emotionally extreme, or just plain worldly.
